Current research interests are: (i) stability of biomolecules and pathways leading to self-assembly of biologically relevant structures; (ii) mechanisms of inactivation of proteins involved in serpinopathies, a class of genetic conformational diseases; (ii) structural and mechanical properties of extracellular nanovescicles from human or natural sources, involved in physiological and oncogenic processes, as well as their engineering and biotechnological exploitation.
