Computational Neurosciences

Experience in developing morphologically and biophysically accurate data-driven models of neurons and small networks (mainly from hippocampus), kinetic models of synaptic transmission and plasticity, and in the analysis of the effects of dendritic ionic channels on firing properties and synaptic integration. The aim is to study the mechanisms underlying brain functions and the emergence of dysfunctions. The models of Dr. Migliore’s group are available for public download on the ModelDB section of the Senselab database suite (http://senselab.med.yale.edu/) and are widely used and a standard reference by neuroscientists.
