Application in Telemedicine for Electrocardiographic Monitoring
The activity aims to develop a prototype to visualize on the web the electrocardiogram (ECG) of a subject, by using smart-shirts and smart-phones.
The subject is asked to: (i) wear a sensorized smart-shirt capable of detecting the ECG; (ii) activate an electronics that transmits the ECG via bluetooth; (iii) activate the smart-phone, on which an appropriate application has been installed, to send via internet network the ECG signal to a server located at IBF-CNR. From there, the signal is made accessible and viewable on the internet. The person wearing the smart-shirt (or any delegate) can access and view the ECG by accessing internet with his username and password. The visualization is realized in quasi-real time, being the delay between the time of acquisition and the time of display below 2 minutes. Finally the recording can have unlimited duration.
