Representations of Special Functions

Special functions are particular mathematical functions which are ubiquitous in science and engineering. In this study we focus our attention primarily on functions related to hypergeometric functions and the associated hypergeometric series. In particular, we study possible integral representations of these functions which can be useful to find recurrence formulae, asymptotics forms, analytic continuations, and that can be appropriate for their efficient numerical evaluation. Of special interest are the representations à la Fourier, for their potential applications in many physical fields (e.g., in optics).
