The Biophysics Institute in Milan has recently been granted funding by the Italian Cancer Research Association (AIRC) to carry out a three-year project focusing on " Type I BIR domain inhibitors in cancer therapy: Searching drugs for regulation of the NF-κB pathway.". Project leader Dr. Eloise Mastrangelo.
The Biophysics Institute in Genoa has recently been granted funding by the European Commission’s H2020 Programme to carry out a Research & Innovation project focusing on "Novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of cystic fibrosis based on small molecule transmembrane anion transporters- TAT-CF’." The three-year project will be led by senior scientist Dr. Oscar Moran and is coordinated by Prof. Roberto Quesada of Burgos University in Spain.
In June 2015, the prestigious Telethon Dulbecco Foundation assigned a research grant to Assistant Telethon Scientist Dr. Alessandra Picollo for a project on “Functional and structural studies of human CLC chloride proteins involved in genetic diseases studies”, to be performed at the Institute of Biophysics in Genova. The project will last until May 2020.
